I lived and worked in Kansas in 2018. I worked in Virginia as a non-resident in 2018. Do I have to send in proof of paid VA state tax to KS or vice versa?

Kansas may want to see the Virginia Form. Filing electronically, TurboTax sends necessary documents. However, you want to print out a copy of your return. That way, if KS were to ask you for a copy of your VA return, you are in a position to send it to them.

Kansas could do this because you are claiming a credit in Kansas for taxes you pay to Virginia, and they may want confirmation of what you are claiming.
