I live in TN but work in KY. I've paid 640.38 in Local KY taxes. Yet, when I finished filing my KY state return it only says that I will be getting 6.00 back How is that?

KY will tax you on the income you earned there and being a resident of TN does not matter.

So the taxes to KY must have been $634 for you to get $6 back.
