I live in RITA municipality area in Ohio. Do I pay RITA tax for W2 from my ex-company in MI for my severance payment

Hi:

I live in RITA municipality area in Ohio for the whole year in 2019. I was laid off from my previous company in 2018 in MI but they paid me severance in 2019 and sent me a W2. Do I pay RITA tax for this W2 paid from my previous company in MI? This is a severance payment but I did not physically work for the MI company. Thanks.

It sounds like you reside in Ohio. If this is the case, you would file your RITA tax in the municipality where you reside.
