What are the two states?  In which one do you live?

Thank you, I’ve lived in worked in two different states for a few years now, so I know I have to file two returns. That is not the issue, there is no in income listed in the wages box for the state of NJ but there is an amount in the tax withheld box. It’s not letting me go Efile because it’s says that the withheld amount cannot be higher than the wages. But there is no wages in the box on the w2.

It’s staying I need to mail it in, but then ny says my return needs to be efiled. I can’t efile the state because the federal won’t let me process without correcting the nj wages box.

You need to file two state returns: a non-resident NY return and your home state return in NJ.  This FAQ explains how to do that in TurboTax:  https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901271-how-do-i-file-a-nonresident-state-return

Be sure to complete the non-resident return first, before you do your home state return.

If you follow the correct procedure, you should be able to e-file your returns.
