I live in IL and work from home in IL. My employer is based in IN and withholds only IN taxes. Do I file nonresident status for less than a 30 day period in IN?

I went into the IN office less than 4 weeks in 2025. I worked remotely (in IL) or traveled the remainder of the time.

Because your employer withheld Indiana taxes, you would need to file a nonresident Indiana tax return to claim the refund.  You are correct that you would fall under the 30-day safe harbor (IC 6-3-27.5), but because you had the Indiana withholding you will want to file to get the withholding refunded.
