I live in Idaho but moved to Utah from may to July but on my state taxes it assumes I was in Utah from the beginning of the year to July. What do I do?

I was only there for about 3 months. There is no option to say when I first moved to Utah only when i became a resident of Idaho again. It assumes I was there from January 1st.

It doesn't matter how long you were in Utah, you simply need to pay Utah tax on the income you earned while you were there. You should see your Utah income and tax withheld on your W-2 form in boxes 16 and 17. If those amounts are correct, then you don't need to do anything special. If not, then you may need to request a corrected W-2 form.

You were only in UT temporarily...you don't indicate you moved at all during 2022.

Go back and Edit that to indicate you were an ID resident all year...no moving involved.

Then at the bottom of the page you indicate you had income in another state...UT......then you will be filing a UT non-resident tax return for the $ you earned while working in UT.
