I live in Canada, it is asking what state I live in?

Are you filing a U.S. tax return? Where in TurboTax is it asking what state you live in? Are you talking about the My Info section, where it asks your state of residence? Scroll all the way down to the end of the list of states and select "Foreign or U.S. Possession."

In the State of Residence drop-down, scroll to the bottom of the list and you'll see "Foreign or U.S. Possession."
