If you have already files your return, then you need to watch the status of your Arizona return.
If Arizona accepts your return, then wait to see if Arizona sends you a letter about this mistake. The letter should allow you to explain the mistake and how you can fix it.
If Arizona rejects your return, then it was considered "never filed". This means that you can go back into TurboTax not to amend your federal return but to update your state return. Once the mistake has been corrected, you can re-efile your state return (don't need to e-file the federal again).
Once your Federal return is accepted by the IRS (you can check here e-file status), you can go back in and e-file your state return. Please see below for instructions:

so if its been accepted, I just wait to see if they contact me about it? or should I amend?
This is up to you.
See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
You can check the status of your amended return here, but allow 3 weeks after filing for it to show up.
