I haven't lived in Alabama in more than 4 years, why does it still appear on my profile as incomplete in the state taxes section

Apparently this state has been carried forward from prior years. Or you have not selected a State in your address under Personal Info. Check that page first, your info and the bottom section on "Other States."

Also try deleting the state under State Taxes. See instructions below:
