I have to fill out a Wisconsin Non Resident form and it is miscalculating what I owe them. I live in Minnesota but work in Wisconsin.

Earned $44959 in WI and paid !*96 in taxes to them and Turbo Tax State Numbers show I owe $3080 more.

Many Wi tax forms are not ready until after Feb 13 2025.

Especially for some of the Non-resident stuff.  Thus, some of your entries might be redirected to the worn spots on OLD forms, not longer valid.

Come back on the 14th of Feb, and go thru all the WI NON-resident interview again, being sure to allocate only those WI wages as being WI income.

Other than that, the top WI marginal tax rate is 7.65%, but will likely be based on ALL your income, before being reduced by what was actually earned and subject to WI taxation.....so if you (and spouse, if married & MFJ) had a LOT of other income outside of WI, then maybe that amount is correct...maybe not.

Do NOT File Fed and MN, before WI is fully implemented and correct.   MN will let you have a credit for taxes paid to WI....but only if WI is filled out correctly with the final forms implemented in the software.

So just keep working an all the Fed stuff for now...tax forms from providers are still showing up for many folks, and if mailed, some might not show up for until the first week in February anyhow.
