I have started my 2022 tax filing. In 'Wages & Income' the section to enter State tax refund says 'for 2021...not 2022. Is there a fix in the works?

No that is correct.

They want to know your state refund from your 2021 state tax return (the one you were supposed to file in 2022).    Yes, you probably received that refund in 2022, but it was on a 2021 state tax filing.

IF you used the Federal Std Deduction last year, then that refund is immaterial, since it isn't taxed this year.

IF you sued itemized deductions on your 2021 Federal tax return last year, then the $$  refunded by the state might be taxable income for 2022...depends on the situation.

Yep...I realized that about 15 minutes after I clicked 'post'!  I think the wording could have been a bit better, saying 'received in 2022' or something similar.  Thank you for responding!!
