I have efiled everything. North Carolina also wants a copy of my Arizona return. How do I do that?

I have efiled everything. North Carolina also wants a copy of my Arizona return. How do I do that?

On e-filed tax returns, If NC wants to see an exact copy of the AZ tax return, they will send a letter asking for it.  Most times, unless something looks a bit strange to them, they accept what you filed....but there are random checks that might be more common for multi-state situations.

So, save a PDF copy of your entire tax file.  Print out a copy too, and put it in a tax file-folder for potential use if NC asks for more information....that could be up to ~ 3 years from now too.  Don't put off printing until later..do it now........far too many people have trouble printing later if they happen to need it when the software goes thru a shut down, or they have forgotten their proper "exact" login that contains the older tax file.
