I got an extension for my 2015 Fed but didn't know I had to file one for state. I filed Fed but not state so what do I do now.

so how do i file my state return from last year and my federal and state from this year

You will first need to finish your state return from last year and then you can complete your 2016 returns. 

To finish filing your state return from last year, you can follow the directions in the FAQ below:
