I got a new job in NYC (Manhattan). My wife will work remotely. NYC has extra income tax rate. If I live outside of the NYC and commute to work, I will save tax money?

If I rent an apartment in New Rochelle or Rye, for example, I will save the NYC income tax. Is that correct?
New Rochelle or Rye does not charge me for city tax?

Only NYC residents are subject to the NYC income tax.

This means that if I live outside the NYC (like Rye, NY) and commute to NYC to work, I will save around 4% in tax?

Is there any other local taxes apply to living outside the NYC? (like Rye local tax? or Rye city Tax?)
