Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I did some business for University of Houston ( website dev ), but I live in Philadelphia, PA. The income is a little over $3000. Do I need to pay Phila tax on that?

A little over 3000, all the work was done remotely, for U of Houston, and I have a regular full time job outside of this. Curious what taxes I’d need to pay ( BIRT, NPT, etc ).

Yes, you will need to file a return that include all of your income if you live in Philadelphia.  The city where you live gets to tax income from all sources.  Also, since you worked remotely in Philly, you would be considered as working in the city.

Since you made less than $100,000 from your business with the University of Houston, you will not have to file a BIRT. Instead file a  2021 BIRT No Tax Liability form.

You will have to have an NPT.

TurboTax does not support either form.

You can download the forms or file online at the Philadelphia Department of Revenue’s website at Business taxes.
