I am trying to fill out my local taxes. I live in NY and work in PA and I've tried to put information in Box 20. No matter what i put there it won't accept it? help me?

I have tried putting the number that i have in my W2 in, and i've put the State in box 15 in, and it will not accept it.

You may need to clarify exactly what you are trying to enter. Form W2, Box 20 is the locality name; there would not be any numbers entered there. You enter something like "Philadelphia" or New York city or Yonkers depending on the state entered. If you put NY in the associated state box you will actually get dropdown choices in Box 20.

Do you live in New York City or Yonkers? If not, leave it blank as TurboTax does not file any forms for local returns other than those two locations in New York. You can still enter the amounts paid, but leave the locality name blank as it will not have any affect on your return.
