I am filing taxes for the first time this year what kind of help do I need?

We do not know what kind of help you need since we have no details as to what kind of income you received, whether you will receive a W-2, a 1099NEC, if you are single, if you have dependents, etc. etc. etc.  Are you a teenager who has been working at your first job, or ?????   Can someone else claim you as a dependent?

The online software will become available in early December to prepare 2022 returns.   You can post specific questions here when you are ready to work on your return.   You will need the income documents that usually arrive in mid to late January in order to prepare a tax return.   And you will need your Social Security number.

There is nothing special about being a first time filer. The TurboTax (TT) software should be able to handle filing your return. Follow the interview carefully.  If your only income is wages shown on a W-2, you should be able to use the online free version of TT. Start there.  The interview will tell you if you need to upgrade. 

Otherwise, as others have said, provide more details of your tax situation.

@brandilynne95 - you might want to get a family member who has used turbo tax before to look 'over your shoulder' when you prepare your return.  Turbo Tax is a 'do it yourself' program and while it ask 100s of questions to help guide you to an accurate return, in the end YOU are responsible for an accurate and complete  return.
