I am filing a Michigan Non-Resident. Where do I put in alimony paid?

It's deductible on your federal return. TurboTax will transfer alimony paid to your state return, if appropriate.

Alimony paid is only deductible on a Michigan Resident return. As as non-resident, alimony received is taxable; but not deductible paid.

Please feel free to post any additional details or questions in the comment section.

To enter alimony you received:

 Federal>Wages & Income>Less Common Income>Alimony Received

To enter alimony you paid:

 Federal>Deductions and Credits>Other Deductions and Credits>Alimony Paid
