I am doing my NYS taxes. I paid to NYS my total taxes (estimated) during the 2018 year on line. That total was 6500. Where do I enter that amount?

You enter these payments on your federal return in the Deductions & Credits section.  Scroll down to Estimated and Other Taxes Paid, see attached.  Click Start next to Estimates.  Then click on State estimated taxes for 2018.  Then select Yes, and enter the state, dates, and amounts of your estimated taxes that you paid.  2nd image attached.
