I am a VA part-time resident 2017 before I moved to CA. Do I pay tax to CA on gains/losses on California companies like Facebook etc, when I was CA non-resident?

No, you do not need pay tax on gains/losses from stock sales on California companies when you were a CA nonresident.  You only need to include your income when you were a resident of CA.
