I am a California resident and a student in Indiana. I received scholarships/grants that are taxable. Do I need to report them and or file in California or Indiana?

I am a California resident and a student in Indiana. I received scholarships/grants that are taxable. Do I need to report them and or file in California or Indiana?
You would report them and file in California since that is your state of residence. You would not need to file an Indiana tax return unless you earned income while in Indiana. In that case, you would also want to file a non-resident return for Indiana.
