How student (son) should fill out W-4 for 10 week internship in NYC this summer. He is and will be a full time student with his state of residence being Texas.

Take the defaults.

NY is a high tax state. make sure State income tax is withheld.

Check with the company to find out after how many weeks does withholding start.
