@RobKraft I apologize - I misread the credit that you were applying for. But it's not a bug - it's a correction.
The form MO-TC that includes all miscellaneous tax credits (including the domestic violence credit) has always only used the last six digits of the code that you entered. I've linked to a pdf copy here but you can check your 2020 form - it's the same. Just enter the last six digits of that code and you're all set.
The DED number should be on the back of the certificate that you received that shows you're eligible for the credit. It is the number that you should enter here.
Thanks for the guess RobertB4444 but that is not correct.
1) This is not a DED deduction. It is a DVC deduction.
2) There is nothing on the back of the piece of paper I receive. I've been getting these for the last 15 years and there has never been anything on the back of the papers.
3) There is a number on the front of the papers, it is 6 digits, and dash, then 6 more digits. It has been this way for 15 years and it is what I entered into TurboTax in all past years.
4) The state of Missouri is doing the exact same thing with this credit as it has done for the last 15 years.
5) The TurboTax software has changed and no longer allows sufficient space to enter the data.
6) This is 100% a TurboTax bug. How can we communicate that to TurboTax so they can fix it?

Thanks RobertB, for your research. It looks like that will work!
