How do I remove a state return when I only pay taxes in a none residential state

Go back into the state interview section.

You will see a list with Status of your state returns.

Simply select Delete to the right of any returns not applicable.

**Say "Thanks" by clicking the thumb icon in a post
**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"

I did go back but all mine showed was start now. I click into it & I believe I hit ignore or remove. It didn’t do anything so I have ended paying for an extra state return for the last 2 years.

I efiled my return and the IRS has accepted it but I need to amend my return to remove a dependent? Anyone have this situation before and can tell me what to do next?
