How do I know if I need to file for CA state takes, in addition to CO? I live in CO and work in CO, but one of my W-2's is from CA.

You have California sourced income, so most likely you will need to file.
Did you have California withholding on your W-2?
- If you did, you would want to file to see if you get any refund
- You would file a Calif 540NR if required based on the above
You will also report your income in CO. To avoid potential double tax, CO provides a credit for taxes paid to other states.
Did you move during 2021?
