How do I get Turbotax to include the Enhanced Senior deduction of $6000?

If you are 65 or older, TurboTax will automatically apply the Enhanced Senior deduction to your tax return if you qualify.

TO CHECK IF THE SENIOR TAX DEDUCTION IS APPLIED TO YOUR TAX RETURN:

On the panel on the left side, Select Tools.
From the popup, Select View Tax Summary.
The Senior Tax Deduction will be applied on the Additional Deductions (Schedule 1-A) line.

And don't look for them to be added to the Std Deduction that is on line 12e of your form 1040..

The extra Senior deduction ends up as an entirely different entry on your form 1040, as all...or part of the $$$ showing on line 13b.

AND

If you are married and filing separately (MFS) the Sr deduction isn't allowed at all.
