Thanks for the reply, JokitaT2. I did finally get the problem corrected but was frustrated that TT made it so hard to do! I was actually not wanting to list the individual states -- I was OK paying AZ tax on the whole amount -- but selecting "multiple states" on my federal return did not carry over to my AZ return and TT would not let me file until I corrected it, telling me I needed to list the payors. But then TT wouldn't take me to the page to enter the payors, i.e, "multiple states." In other words, I couldn't complete this step: "Next when you go through the state interview questions, you may also need to make an adjustment to confirm the correct amount pulls through" because I couldn't get to that page, even when I cycled through all the interview questions again.
I finally started my state return over from scratch and the page came up.
