How do I get California forms to accept zero w2 income from federal return?

I am retired and have no W2 forms to report.  TurboTax won't file California e-file with zero W2 income.

Or does CA not accept a return with zero state taxable income of any type?  If so, try adding $1 of interest.

I had three income sources: Retirement pay, which paid state tax; Social security, no state tax; and IRA withdraw, with state tax paid.  So there is state income on other lines but because I didn't have any income reported on a W2 form, TurboTax wont accept the $0 (ZERO) a a correct value, even though there are no W2s filed for Federal.
