You can divide your income on the screens for Nonresident Adjustments in the California section of TurboTax.
TurboTax will display the Federal Adjusted amount. You’ll fill in the amount attributable to California. The California Amount will transfer to Column E of Schedule CA (540NR).
For example, here is an adjustment screen for self-employment income. You will fill in the California Amount.
Thank you for the reply. However, I do not seem to be able to navigate to that screen. Can you provide the steps to get there? I have indicated in the site that I am a nonresident of CA and I can get to the screen that will fill out column D of schedule CA but continuing through the prompts to fill in the remaining amounts on the tax return does not get me to the screen you provided.
