How do I enter an amount on Iowa form 1040, Schedule 1, Line 7 to deduct a 457 (b) payment from my Iowa income?

Turbo Tax does not appear to ask for this amount in the adjustments to income section.

No, it comes from the federal. Follow these steps:

Return to your federal income
Edit the 1099-R
Continue through until you reach, Was This from a Qualified Plan?
Select from a qualified plan

You can view the deduction on line 7 of Schedule 1 is automatically entered.
