How do I change my New York City School District information? I live in NJ but it says I've listed myself as living in a school district in NYC.

I am unsure how to change this, as I have changed my permanent residency to New Jersey and would think the system would be able to figure this out. Thank you for any help!

If you permanently moved to New Jersey from New York in 2024, you will need to complete the following steps:

1. Open your return.
2. Click on My Info on the left hand side of the screen.
3. Click on your name and click Revisit.
4. Enter your mailing address.
5. On the screen, Let's check for some other situations, scroll down to the question What was your state of residence on December 31, 2024? Choose New Jersey.
6. Click on the box next to I lived in another state in 2024. Click on New York and enter the date of your move.
7. Continue to your state returns. Your error should be clear.
