Are you completing a 2024 return now? If so, you can not apply the 2024 overpayment to 2025 anymore since we are now filing 2025 returns. If this is not your question, please give us more details.

I want to apply the overpayment of $1514.00 from my Virginia 2024 tax to my 2025 Virginia tax return.  No place to enter that amount.

If you told TurboTax while doing your 2024 return to apply the refund for Virginia for 2024 to 2025, then this should happen automatically through something called the Carryover Worksheet (you can see this if you are using the TurboTax Desktop product).

If this is not working for some reason, then do this:

Go to Deductions & Credits->Estimates and Other Taxes Paid->2024 Refund applied to 2025 state taxes. When you click Start, it will ask you which state and how much of the 2024 refund should be carried over to 2025.

Yes, this is on the federal return, so it is not obvious when dealing with a state return.
