How do i answer the resident question if I lived in Nevada 01/01/2016-10/10/2016 then Texas 10/11/2016-1/09/2017

TurboTax asks you to put in your residency for the state you were living in on Dec. 31 as your primary state of residence. You want to do this, but you will also notice that you will not have a state return if you worked only in Nevada or Texas. Neither has state income tax returns.
