How do I allocate my wages so it calculates tax correctly for NY non-resident if I worked 1 day in NY, 3 days in NJ, and the remainder 257 days at home in OH.

You divide your yearly salary by 261 days and allocate 1 day pay to NY and 3 days to NJ.  OH will tax you on your full year salary, but give you a credit, or partial credit, for tax paid to other states.
