Hi , helping daughter file her first tax return. she is college in Oregon. should I be filing her returns as an Oregon resident or of CA which is her perm. resi. pl adv

You should file your daughter's return as a California resident since she is only in Oregon to attend college.    

If she earned income in Oregon when she was attending college, she will also need to file a non-resident return for Oregon.
