I was able to file my Federal S-Corp return but cannot e-file the MA return. I keep getting an error message that I need to update my software, which I have done multiple times so that is clearly not the issue. I know TurboTax has been very late in finalizing the MA returns in the past, but at least we'd get a message that the MA return wasn't ready yet. This year TT has taken my $ but only error message I get makes no sense. Has anyone been able to e-file their MA 355-S for 2024 yet?!
Problem solved. (Can't figure out how to delete my post.) In case this helps anyone else...I first tried removing the state return via TTCleanStatesTool but then couldn't even open TT Business at all.. so that was a waste of time. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire TT Business. The first go round, the state release was 1/31. After uninstalling and reinstalling, the state release was 2/7. Sooo, although I did run the update in the original install it was not updating the state release. Although I've used TT for years, this may be the last time I do. I have wasted way too much time on fixing their errors.
