IM IN A DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP. MY OTHER HALF DOESN'T WORK. ALL THE INCOME IS THROUGH MY SINGLE JOB. WHY DOES IT SAY I HAVE TO FILE MULTIPLE RETURNS?

For the Federal, you would have to file as a single person and claim your partner a s a dependent.  If you are in a state that allows domestic partners to file as married, you would need to start another federal return with a married joint filing status in order to transfer that to the state.
