Filing 2019 CA tax return

I filed our federal return and received a refund. After I filed it, I received more info and had to file an amended return. I now need to file our California return (which hasn't been filed yet) and only see an option to amend the return. How do I set it up for filing without amending it?

Try the following steps to access and complete your state return.

Sign in to TurboTax.
You should be able to see Your Tax Returns & documents
Select show here.
Select 2019
Select Add a state

This will allow you to see your state return and complete your filing.

If you are unable to electronically file your state return because it only thinks you are amending, you may need to print and mail your state return in. Be sure to file the return on the original form and not on an amended state form.
