File state tax if I own property but haven't stayed in a state

Hi,

I would like to know if I need to file MN state tax if I owned a property (paid property tax and had mortgage) for a portion of last year but never stayed in the property or MN state during the year.

Thanks

No, if you have another state where you have a home and you did not rent the home in MN out, you would not need to file a tax return simply because you owned a home there.
