Employer paid tax to a state I didn't live in; I filed a non-resident state tax return, do I still need to fill out taxes paid to another state in my residential state?

ie. Do I still need to file for allowable credit for income taxes paid to the another state?

No, if you did not pay taxes to the nonresident state you cannot get a credit for taxes paid.
