Federal tax was efiled and rejected. Federal was accepted on second try. I am trying to efile my state tax now, but get message saying e-file requires federal return and that I must select the federal return. But since federal return has been submitted, it is not available to select.

I have a similar situation with both Fed and Cal state TTax Deluxe installed on a PC. After completing both Fed and Cal returns, I eFiled the Fed return only. It was accepted. That was a week or so ago. Today I attempted to eFile the State return only and I got this message:
E-file requires federal return
To e-file, you must also select the federal return.
Click Back to select federal and any other returns you'd like to file.

TurboTax is aware of and investigating the issue with not being able to e-file the state after e-filing the federal. Here is an updated article with a link to get updates when this is resolved:
