e-file state taxes later than federal taxes

I am trying to e-file my Minnesota state taxes, but I have already filed and received the refund for the federal taxes. Now the program tells me I cannot file them. How can I e-file state taxes? I do not want to print and mail 96 pages of paper.

You may need to wait for updates on the state side.  There have been several changes between retirement distributions and unemployment that may still need to be updated on your state tax return.

I would recommend updating your software to ensure all updates are loaded as well.  This may also clear your issue and allow you to electronically file your state tax return.

1. Select the Online menu at the top
2. Then select Check for Updates.
