Does TurboTax account for state income tax paid in one state, (resident of CA, work in NY), so that I don't pay state income tax twice (independent contractor with 1099)?

I'm an independent contractor with a 1099 form.  Work in NY (non-resident), but reside in CA.  I don't believe I'm supposed to be taxed on the same income in both NY and CA.  One state should give me credit for state income tax I pay in the other state, but want to make sure TurboTax accounts for that issue and automatically calculates my state income taxes for both states appropriately.

It does, assuming you fill out your non-resident income tax return first, then your resident income tax return.
