I am a PA resident working in MD. My new employer withheld MD state taxes, so I've filed the proper info here, but TurboTax is telling me I need to mail in a W2. If I am e-filing, do I still need to mail a physical w-2?

Did you file a MD return to get the tax withheld refunded and also a PA return to pay tax on the income?
So are you saying that you need to pay PA and the program is also telling you to mail in a copy of your W-2 ?
Correct, filed a non-resident MD return for a refund and I owe PA state tax. The system tells me I need to mail in my W2 to PA to reconcile the issue with the state. I was hoping to e-file, not mail anything in. @KrisD15

@TomK2023 @JosephS1 @LindaS5247 any insight on needing to mail in a W2?
You can wait to see if Pennsylvania actually requests the forms when the return is e-file. However you can also use the information below to send them in now and hopefully speed the process.
