No, not if you didn't have NY income.  Contributions to a NY 529 plan are a deduction and not a refundable tax credit in NY.  Therefore, if you do not have any taxable income to begin with, you do not have anything to report to NY, since your NY tax is zero and you will not get any refund from New York.

No, not if you didn't have NY income.  Contributions to a NY 529 plan are a deduction and not a refundable tax credit in NY.  Therefore, if you do not have any taxable income to begin with, you do not have anything to report to NY, since your NY tax is zero and you will not get any refund from New York.
