Do I have to file for state I barely lived in?

I moved to a new state at the end of Dec 2022 - so I only lived there for 10 days and did not work or earn any income.  Do I still have to file taxes for this state?

It depends on the state. Each state has different rules.

Technically, probably yes.  But since you know you will owe no tax, I wouldn't bother.  File as a full year resident of the old state.
