@mrlc210 you must file two tax returns.
1) a non-resident tax return in Indiana where you will report ONLY the income earned while in Indiana.
2) a resident tax return in Illinois where you will ALL your income earned, regardless of which state you worked in. Then Illinois calculate a credit for taxes paid to another state so that you are not paying taxes to two states on the same dollar of income.
