The part that is too long is the payer of the dividends. It seems to allow 15 characters (including spaces). Go back to federal form and change the name of the payer to 15 characters or less.
If you need more help let me know.
It's 2022 and I'm having the same problem. I filed the Fed, so I'll go back and edit the Fed and see if that makes the Iowa worksheet happy. How come that field length can't be changed, or hasn't been changed in 3 years?
Thanks
Agree, it’s a pain. I’ve had the same problem for several years. Federal forms go through but I have the problem with the Iowa State form saying the name is too long. So I went out to the worksheet and shortened the name and it went through. You would think they could fix or accommodate this… State of Iowa may need to fix tax form...
I submitted the Federal form, then went to the Fed form and shortened the name, since you can't edit the name on the Iowa form. Then the Iowa return went through. At least now I know what to do next year. And it's just the worksheet. Who cares?! Ignore it, Turbo Tax. LOL.
