Hello,
We are married filing jointly on Federal, and married filing separately on the same return for DC state.
I've itemized my Federal deductions which include only a 1098 for mortgage interest on our primary residence and state property tax. DC requires us to itemize deductions since that's what we did for Federal.
However, on the form page titled 'Allocate DC Deductions', it's showing $0 worth of deductions available for distribution between the two of us. The default result is that we receive $0 in DC state deductions total.
Are there any other reasons our itemized deductions for mortgage interest would not be applied to DC state(income cap, etc.)?I believe there is a bug preventing our itemized mortgage interest paid deduction from being applied to our DC state return.

I am wondering if you are preparing the tax returns correctly. To file as married-separate in DC, you would enter two separate federal returns, one for each of you to generate the two separate state returns, then a third federal return for the joint federal filing. So, you wouldn't need to allocate any deductions between yourselves on the state return, that would already have been done when you prepared the federal return.
You can view your state return summary while working on your state return to see if your deductions are showing up as follows:
