We have $18106 of tax exempt income from a tax exempt bond fund. The Connecticut amount is $250. The tax exempt income from all other states is $17856.
Tubo Tax Connecticut appears to be double counting the non Connecticut tax free income of $17856 on the state form. It adds it in twice on line 2 of Form CT-1040 for a total of $35712.
On Schedule 1 it reports the $17856 on line 32 (mutual fund tax exempt inc from non-Ct states or cities). Turbo tax adds it again on line 37- Other Additions.
The Other Additions schedule report it on line 6 - interest or dividends of the United States Government.
Any help.

If you are sure have not double-entered as two of the same 1099-DIV forms in the Wages& Income section....go back and check again....but first in the interview, then check again for two of the same -DIV forms in Forms Mode (Forms mode only if you are using Desktop software...I think you are)
If it's still wrong, Then a call to Customer Support is warranted . Once they are certain and confirm it's not some user-entry error, they will ask you to create a diagnostic file for them....Then they send that to their software error team to work thru and correct. Yeah, if a true software error, it needs correcting fast.
What is the TurboTax phone number? (intuit.com)
Not resolved yet. Technical folks could not figure it out. I will pay for the tax help and if they find it is a technical problem I will get a refund. Fingers crossed.
Many things have been corrected in the latest updates to TurboTax. Are you still experiencing this problem?

Yes it was resolved. It was being double counted. Thanks.
@Bobb59431 How was your Connecticut double counting tax exempt dividends issue resolved?
I am experiencing the same issue on my Connecticut Part Year/Non Resident return. The latest updates have been installed and I have not entered the 1099-Div information twice.
Looking for any advice you or anyone can offer. Much appreciated!
In the Connecticut interview, you'll get a screen titled Income Interest Adjustment for income not taxable in CT. Choose Yes, and on the next screen enter the exempt amount.
On the NR/PY Form page 3, you see the amount added on Line 41, then later subtracted on Line 52.
